| It's
time to celebrate!
2008 will mark the 100th summer of girls
resident camping on Lake Abenaki in Thetford, VT. 50 years
as Camp Hanoum and 50 years as Camp Farnsworth.
Mark your calendars now for the big
Reunion and Celebration, scheduled for August 15 - 17, 2008.
. If you are interested in helping with this gathering or
any other hanoum-farnsworth alumni tasks, please send an email
to Martha Netsch.
HISTORY ALERT: The
picture at right contains names of campers that were written
on boards every year during the early years of Hanoum. Does
anyone know what the stars mean? They were recently uncovered
during a renovation of the Sayer house on Thetford Hill, now
owned by Mike Zack. When they pulled up the old wood floors
they found these below being used as a sub floor. Good ol'
Yankee frugality! Some of these boards date back to 1918.
These boards will be on display at the 2008 Reunion.

to be taken to Volume 1 of photo ops. Some images are rather
large. If you click on them a second time, you should see
a more manageable viewing size. The next round of scanning
will be better- I promise! If you have pictures you would
like posted and shared with the H-F world, email
digital photos or snail mail to the address below. Be
sure to include as much information as possible about the
