Where? Who? What? When?
Discover the adventure and magic of Camp Chenoa!

Staff and campersCamp Chenoa is the camp that Girl Power built! Camp Chenoa celebrates its 17th season in 2008. Spend an incredible summer at this overnight camp making friends, making memories and making your dreams come true. You'll work with great counselors to plan programming that meets your interests, lets you try new things and is tons of fun!! It is a place where the campers and counselors feel like part of the same big family. It's a special place where younger campers can grow up a little and have a positive first camping experience and older campers can learn new skills & inspire younger girls. Camp Chenoa programs are listed on pages 14 - 17.

Where?

  • There are 300 awesome acres of forests, meadows and rocks to explore. Swim and boat in 200-acre Gregg Lake or explore our own beaver pond.
  • Your home away from home will be a cabin or adirondack shelters, all with built-in bunk beds and lots of shelf space. A nearby wash house has sinks and toilets and a shower house is located centrally.
  • Three delicious meals a day are served in our dining hall overlooking Gregg Lake – breakfast and dinner are family style with favorites like French toast, pancakes, spaghetti and chicken nuggets. Lunch is a buffet with lots of choices. There is always a salad bar and peanut butter and jelly as well!

Who?

  • Chenoa campers come from across New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts and even from across the United States. You'll share camp with just 175 girls per one week or two week session! That means a camper to counselor ratio of 4:1.
  • You’ll live in a unit with 10 or 15 girls who signed up for the same program as you and are all similar ages.
  • Our Chenoa staff of 55 women come from across the United States and around the world. They all love working with children, are excited about the possibilities of camp and can’t wait to meet you and plan a wonderful camp experience!
  • You might have the chance to climb our 35-foot climbing tower onsite or tackle our natural bouldering areas!
  • You'll have two or three counselors who spend the session with you. They’ll help you plan activities that interest you, are fun and allow you to try new things!

    What?
  • Each day is unique because you help plan it. You might swim, paddle a funyak, sail, shoot archery, learn to build a deck, create a mask in arts and crafts, explore the marsh or sing around the campfire. You'll spend time in small groups in your unit with girls who share your interests and are of a similar age. There will also be opportunities to try activities with the whole camp with "Yo-Yo's" and "All Camp" programs.
  • You could sign up for a general camp program with lots of opportunities to try everything that camp has to offer like swimming, cooking out, crafts, games, hikes, adventure, silliness and more!
  • There are also lots of specialized programs to choose from focusing on everything from rock climbing to music to drama. Specialized units spend some of their time trying activities related to their theme, but also get to experience the traditional fun camp activities!
  • Camp Chenoa is also the starting point for several cool Quick Trips! Quick trips allow you to pack your bags and head off to a destination city for a week of sightseeing, exploring, eating out and having fun. Trips might travel to New York, Boston, Canada or other exciting locales!

SwimmersWhen?
