Summer Camp Online Registration
Information

Welcome to E-Council,
our web-based database system that allows you to register online
for camp. Your registration will be processed during normal business
hours. Registrations via this site must be paid with a credit
card. It is recommended that you have a copy of the Summer Camp
2008 brochure at hand while registering. If you have not
received a copy, please download to your computer by clicking
here for Resident camp and click
here for day camp. Detailed information about policies, refunds,
payments, etc., can be found in the brochure.
Click the "Click
Here to Register" button to be taken to the E-Council.
Click on the " Camps
" link. You will be taken to a calendar page.
- Choose a month at
the top of the screen and click "GO".
- You will notice that
the camps will have the following abbreviations, followed by the
program number and name.

- Click on the event
name. Programs are listed on the day the event starts. The color
of the type indicates the status of the event. Check the legend
in the upper left hand corner of the screen for an explanation.
- Complete the registration
window that appears. If you do not have an email address, type
"none" in the email field and be sure you do not select
"email notices. Please do not complete the driver's license
information, it is not required.
- Pay for the camp program
with a credit card. IMPORTANT - DO NOT PUT A DOLLAR SIGN
IN THE PAYMENT FIELD. This site has been secured through
Verisign.
- IMPORTANT!
All registrations received either via snail mail or via online
registration are placed according to date received. Once you have
been placed, you will receive a confirmation and invoice.
Please note:
• Pre registration is required for all camp programs. If you
are registering for more than one program, you
will need to complete the online registration process for each one
separately. After you are finished your first registration,
simply click on Step 1 to be taken back to the calendar page.
If you are expecting
to use Cookie Dough, and
wish to pay in full, subtract the estimated amount of Cookie Dough
from the total. Once you receive your Cookie Dough certificate,
it can be mailed in with final payment by June 1.
Online credit card payments are processed via a secure web site
using Verisign.
NEW! Change requests to move
girls between programs will be accepted after March 11th. Earlier
calls slow the registration process. There will be a $10 rebooking
fee for changing programs once a girl’s registration has been
processed. This fee does not apply if the council has to move campers,
if a program is cancelled, or if a camper moves from a wait list
to the program of her choice.
•Camperships:
Click on the campership link to the left for more information.
•Pay by
check: If you don't want to pay by credit card and wish
to pay via check, you should not use the online site. You will need
to submit a paper
registration form and mail with payment to GSSWC. (PO Box 10832,
Bedford, NH 03110-0832).
• Registration
is ongoing until programs are full. Online registration will close
two days before a program's start date.
• Buddies:
The online registration screen does not have a way to indicate a
Buddy choice. You will have a chance to request a Buddy on the camper
information form that you will receive with the parent packet.
• Payments:
Do not use this site to make additional camp payments.
Once you have been confirmed for a program, you will receive a confirmation
and bill for your balance due. Balances are due by June 1 and need
to be mailed to GSSWC at the address below. Payments can be either
check or credit card.

• Camp
Program Updates
- Buddy Up
- this program for day camp girls in grades 8-10 begins with a
training weekend in May. Girls interested in this program should
sign up for the May training online. After the training weekend,
staff from each day camp will evaluate if you are ready to be
a Day Camp Buddy Up.
- Camp 'N More
- if you would like to add Camp 'n More to your registration for
day camps Kettleford, Machagamee and Seawood, you need to complete
a separate registration for each. You will find them in the online
calendar listed with each camp and session.
- Buses
- the online registration screen does not have an option to indicate
which bus you will be using for Day Camp transportation. You will
receive information about bus registration in your camp packet
in the spring.
- Non-Girl Scouts
- If the girl registering for camp is not registered for the 2008
Girl Scout year, then check off non-Girl Scout on the online form.
You will automatically be billed an extra $10 and registered as
a Girl Scout.
- In-Between
- To sign up for the in-between sessions at Camp Chenoa
and Camp Farnsworth, please complete a separate registration.
You will find each session listed in the online calendar.
- Tall &
Small/Just the Two of Us/Family Weekends - at this time,
we are unable to register these programs with the online system.

• If you opt to
receive correspondence via e-mail, you need to make sure that
info@swgirlscouts.org is on your approved email
address list, otherwise, your confirmation may not be delivered.
Confirmations via email will be an MS Word attachment. If you do
not have MS Word on your computer, you can download a free copy
of Word Viewer here.
(Please note: Word Viewer will not work on Windows 98 systems)
• You need to
have pop-up blockers disabled for this site to work properly. Additional
system requirements and suggestions for your computer may be found
here .
• Once your registration
has been submitted you will see a pop-up window that tells you “Your
registration has been received”. This means that your registration
has been submitted; it does not mean you are automatically confirmed
for the camp program. A confirmation will be sent immediately once
minimum numbers are met. In most cases, you should receive your
confirmation within 3 days of registration. Additional materials
will be sent prior to camp regarding directions, packing lists,
and detailed camp information. If you do not see the pop-up screen,
your registration may not have been submitted. Please try to submit
your registration again.
