Meet the Director
This is Debbie King's 9th year
at Whispering Pines. She has been a counselor for 4 years, an assistant
director for 3 and this is her second as director. She is an elementary
school teacher, Girl Scout volunteer, a mother and grandmother (all
girls). She brings with her Girl Scout values, her creative skills
and a strong commitment to keeping Whispering Pines a great camp
for girls.
What is your best memory from camp as a camper?
Singing
and skits around a campfire.

Emerald

Tell us about your favorite thing to do on a rainy day at camp.

Swimming in the lakes

It wouldn't be camp without smores!
What is the reason you come to camp every summer?
I love seeing our returning campers each year and getting to know all our new campers.

Do you
want to make a difference? Make quilts for kids in need, donate
to the humane society and make a difference in our community
while having a great time doing all your favorite camp activities.

| Serengeti Shutterbugs |
4-8 |
Learn the art of photography. Take pictures with a variety of cameras and learn to develop your own pictures. Use your photos to create our picture presentation for the talent show. Cost: $250 |
| Amazon Adventurers |
5-8 |
Learn archery,
try boating along the shore, and learn how to live off the land.
Work together with your group to plan the great camp activities
you want to do each day.

| Buddy Up |
8-10 |
Whether
you've been at camp for years of this is your first time, check
out this great leadership opportunity. Participate in the overnight
training May 11-12 at Camp Chenoa and then if accepted join
us for Whispering Pines in August for no additional charge.
Cost
for training weekend: $75 |
