Memorial Day Parade

Tsunami Relief Effort

"Brownie Girl Scout Troop 69 worked hard during this year's cookie program and have donated their Cookie profits to Tsunami relief. Over 400 dollars! They also made the baskets and have helped out at the local food pantry. This spring they would like to plant a tree at the local playground. Their energy is contagious. I'm very proud and honored to be their leader!" ~ Kim Coe
COOKIES!

The sale of Girl Scout Cookies is more than the sale of a product. It is a program that strengthens her skills in goal setting, customer service, budgeting, and team work.

How Sweet it is!
Bridging to Adults

Senior Troop 1583 celebrated their last year together with a trip to New York City.
"We will miss you!" Thank you for all the wonderful years you have shared with us, grown with us, helped us to grow, and for all the fun together. Your leadership and service to the community will always be remembered. We wish you well on your new journeys."
HAPPY T.R.A.I.L.S.

Senior Troop 1372 team up with Daisy Leader and Manager, Michelle Korbet, for a day of Daisy Discovery.
Happy T.R.A.I.L.S. brought girls ages 5-6 together from Contoocook, Hopkinton, Webster, Henniker and Warner. The girls discovered Trees, Rocks, Animals, Insects, Lakes, and Stars in fun, hands-on activities. These girls will continue to meet as a new Daisy Girl Scout group. Talk about bringing girls together.

Service Dinner

Tribute to the Men and Women who serve. "My profession is somewhat unique in comparison to that of the average person. At any one fixed moment in time when duty calls upon me, I am prepared to sacrifice my own life to save the lives of others I may not even know. I am willing to do this because I understand that we all make choices in life. As for myself, this is the choice and path of service that I have chosen to follow. Though my job is often rewarding, it can also be unsettling. I often reflect upon the simplicity of one question, "Who am I?" At times, I cannot provide this answer, not even for myself. So, "Who am I" to choose a profession in life that regularly shows no mercy for the preciousness of life? "Who am I" to willingly, without hesitation, invite myself into some of the most uninviting situations known to mankind? "Who am I", so that when duty calls, may never again lay eyes on the loved ones I could leave behind? The assumed simplicity of this question is not so simple after all. Understanding "Who I am" may be difficult to answer at times. However, all I need to do is pause, think about, and remember those lives I have positively influenced and maybe even saved. All I need to do is look back on the years of service I have given to my community and realize that I helped make the world a safer place in which to live. In my heart, I know I made a difference. "Who am I?" I am a Firefighter!"
"EMS PRAYER"
As I perform my duty Lord, Whatever be the call,
Help to guide and keep me safe,
from dangers big and small.
I want to serve and do my best,
No matter what the scene.
I pledge to keep my skills refined,
My judgment quick and keen.
This calling to give of myself,
Most do not understand.
But I stand ready all the time
to help my fellow man.
To have the chance to help a child,
restore his laugh with glee.
A word of thanks I might not hear,
but knowing is enough for me.
The praise of men is fine for some,
But I feel truly blessed.
That you, oh Lord, have chosen me
to serve in EMS!
