Cookie Sale Program — Cookie Policies

You must be a registered Girl Scout to participate and have a signed Parent/Guardian Permission Slip.

Girl Scouts DO NOTcollect money until the cookies are delivered to the customer.

Each registered Girl Scout selling at least 50 boxes will receive Cookie Dough, which will be distributed by troop leaders in April 2008.

Review these Safety Rules with your Girl Scout

  • Do not enter the home of a customer.
  • Use safe pedestrian practices, especially when crossing at busy intersections
  • Use the buddy system.
  • Dress appropriately for the weather.
  • Girls should be familiar with the areas and neighborhoods in which they sell.
  • Girl should only sell during daylight hours unless accompanied by an adult.
  • Adults should provide supervision and guidance for all age levels.
  • Girls should wear uniforms or membership pins.
  • When Girl Scouts operate a booth in a store, mall, or other public place, adults must be present at all times.
  • Adult support ensures that girls do not carry large sums of money.
  • The troop leader’s or other designated telephone number is given for reorders or complaints; a girl does not give her telephone number.
  • Girls should be aware of any rules that exist at the location of their booth sale.
