A New Activity for Girls this Year!    NETIQUETTE is an email program from QSP and Reader’s Digest. Each girl, with her parents’ approval, completes the learning activity about email “NETIQUETTE” (How to use email, safely, effectively, and politely), and then emails 12 family and friends who may like to purchase magazine subscriptions to support her Girl Scout Troop and the Girl Scouts of Swift Water Council.

For the completion of this program, the girl’s troop will earn $2.00 in Troop Profit, and the girl gets one item toward her individual girl incentives. To document the completion of the program, and for the troop to receive their $2.00 in troop profit, the girl will simply print out the confirmation form, and hand it in to the troop leader, just like she would hand in the paper Address Booklet.

If the girl’s parents wish to order or renew their own magazines, their email should be one of the 12 the girl inputs. Then, the parents can order their own new subscriptions or renew their current subscriptions directly, right there on the website, and for those parent subscriptions ordered on the website, the troop will receive an additional $1.50 per subscription in Troop Profit, and each of these subscriptions count as one item toward individual girl incentives. To document the purchase of these parent magazines ordered, and for the troop to receive their $1.50 per subscription, the girl will simply print out the order receipt, hand it in to the troop leader, just like she would hand in the paper Magazine Order Forms.
