Zink Comes To Swift Water
Zink
Program Rental Kit
Acceptance…Compassion…Understanding…Respect
Zink the Zebra has spots! She also has an exciting program that
teaches understanding, respect, compassion and acceptance of ourselves
and others. The Zink program features awesome activities, loads
of games, great discussion topics and requires little training to
get going! We hope that by using the Zink program throughout the
time you meet with your group, your girls will become more accepting
and bonded and better able to avoid bullying and teasing.
The
Story
Zink the Zebra lives in the Lipis Jungle with her parents and her
brother, Fink. Zink has spots instead of stripes, causing her to
be treated differently by other zebras. But, in her heart, Zink
is just another zebra, with all the hopes and hurts, wants and needs,
dreams and fears of any other zebra - or child.
The Author:
Kelly Weil (1982 - 1993) created the story of Zink thhttp://www.swgirlscouts.org/graphics/zinkpatch.jpge
Zebra, while battling cancer, to express the pain associated with
the withdrawal of friendships due to misconceptions about human
differences. The story teaches us how being different makes you
special.
