Be a Volunteer!

Life is a great adventure but one that children shouldn't have to tackle alone...

Children need caring adults who can help them navigate pitfalls and challenges. Someone to cheer, to care, to laugh with. Someone to help slow down a too-fast world that doesn't leave kids with time for childhood. Girl Scouts know this.

Girl Scouts of Swift Water Council needs volunteers to help keep Girl Scouting vital and open to all who seek the movement's opportunities. For some adults, this may mean direct involvement with girls throughout the year. For others it may mean lending expertise for a short-term project. Then there are those who enjoy working with other adult volunteers. And those who only want to interact with Brownies! No matter who you choose to work with or how much time you have to give, you can make a difference in the lives of girls.

Volunteer now and receive a complimentary ticket to any Six Flags theme park!

Register now at http://sixflags.com/gsfriends and volunteer 6 hours of your time in Swift Water Council. The 6 hours must be completed during April - June of 2008. When you register, you will receive an email confirmation receipt from Six Flags. You will need to print this out and have it signed by the person supervising your hours. This form must be turned in to Karen Sjogren at the address below after you have completed your 6 hours of volunteering. Your voucher for a complimentary ticket will be mailed to you from our office.
