Beyond that, it\u2019s simply the right thing to have it. Surf trips often take you to remote destinations where medical care and emergency evacuations can be costly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Insurance gives you peace of mind, so you can focus on surfing. Travel Medical Insurance (Minimum Required)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the basic coverage every guest must have. It typically includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Emergency medical care.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emergency medical evacuation (important when traveling to remote surf areas).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2714\ufe0e Mandatory for all Barefoot Surf trips<br>\u2714\ufe0e Make sure your plan covers surfing and any other activities you plan to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What it does NOT cover<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This type of insurance won\u2019t reimburse you if you need to cancel or cut your trip short for personal reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You break your arm playing football before your trip.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your flight gets cancelled due to a storm.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You decide not to travel because of an earthquake near your destination.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A family emergency forces you to stay home.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Because most of our retreat costs are paid to local partners 60 days before your arrival (and are non-refundable), we cannot offer credits or refunds in these cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Travel Protection Insurance (Recommended)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a more complete package.
